The Boston Tea Party

by Callie B.
(Snellville, Georgia USA)

Elizabeth: "Aye, George. So we know that the "Indians" who dumped the tea were not really Indians. What should we do now?"

George: "Elizabeth, I think that we should not tell anybody until we find out why they broke into the British ships instead of the colonist's ships. I have a feeling that it is because the civilized colonists do not like the tax on tea."

Elizabeth: "Maybe you are right, George. However, it was a very uncivilized act for civilized colonists to do."

George: "Elizabeth, wouldn't you fight if you wanted freedom? We came here to be free, not to have to pay more tax! Fight for your freedom!"
